Money Laundering and Cybercrime
The Financial Intelligence Unit for Italy (UIF) is the national central unit tasked with combating money laundering and terrorist financing, established within the Bank of Italy. The UIF receives reports of suspicious transactions from financial intermediaries, professionals, and other entities, conducts financial analysis, and assesses their relevance for forwarding to investigative and judicial authorities.

Cybrec is a laboratory on cybercrime and cybersecurity created and promoted by the Magna Grecia Foundation. In 2024, it published the report “Cyber Organized Crime. Mafias in Cyberspace. Analysis and Policy Tools” edited by Antonio Nicaso and Walter Rauti.
